| This is a British outline 2-6-4 locomotive - 4MT, fully finished and ready to run. The locomotive
has full working forward/reverse walsharts valve gear, boiler water
gauge, working drain cocks, sprung buffers, scale screw coupling, twin
outside cylinder with working piston valves. |

The original boiler was a simple single fill boiler and gave a run time of about 20 minutes, but this has now been replaced by a high pressure cylindrical gas tank incorporated within a water jacket. This water jacket has a steam supply from the boiler via a control valve, and enables gentle heating of the water in the jacket during winter months. This will enable the gas pressure to be maintained at an even rate and with the new larger gas tank gives approximately 45 minute runs. The boiler is now fitted with an "Enott" water valve so that the boiler can be refilled during the run. Larger displacement oiler is also fitted as standard.
