ESSEX MODEL RAILWAY GROUP

Also known as the 'SADMEN'

(Somerset And Dorset Model Engineering Newcomers)

We are a small group of (mainly) members of the

Gauge 1 Model Railway Association & Gauge 3 Model Railway Association

We have interest in all aspects of the model railway world but we particularly like the making and running of both live steam and electric locomotives in 'Gauge 1' and 'Gauge 3'.  We meet together mainly on Thursday mornings at various members houses and during the summer months we have Saturday meetings as announced.  If you would like to know more, please phone Cliff on 01702 217422 Monday to Saturday 9 am to 7pm.

These pages will normally be updated at the beginning of January, April, July and October, so if you would like to be on this list, let me know your available dates.

Christmas Meal - 2016
Well we had so many this year that we had to go on 2 tables, the well behaved on the left and the rebels on the right!
Paul lets the well behaved table down by indulging in a plate of chips for starters & curry sauce, and in front of Geraldine! That's the diet gone!
The rebel table light up a Duchess with fairy lights

What we need John, is not more loco's - but more Bothies

A scene of devastation as the main line at Evercreech Junction is removed

Sadly most of the wooden track has now gone, to be replaced with gauge widened plastic.  Much less maintenance!!!

The linesmen have also been at work at Winsor Hill (yes that is the correct spelling!)

IT'S YOUR CHOICE - YOU COULD BUY A NEW LOCO? OR SPEND THE MONEY ON A WORLD CRUISE??

OR MAYBE A WALKING HOLIDAY WOULD BE BETTER
HOW ABOUT TAKING MORE EXCERCISE
That's it for now folks!
